I agree with your choices too Kathy. Mr. Swarowski is very nice and he could show me his jewellery anytime! Marie-Francoise is very pretty and seems like a really lovely person too.

I am not sure about Marie-Francoise, she seems to come across to me as slightly arrogant, I can't quite put my finger on it but whilst I am not denying she has very good product knowledge considering she is just the 'face of the company' and not an actual employee, I don't know I just seem to feel that their is this air of arrogance/smugness about her. I know this is just probably me, but there is 'something' there that I can't quite place.

Rosa and Caroline are probably my least two, simply because both got their 'gigs' just because they were customers and somehow they have managed to turn this in to getting jobs. Though I am not really sure about Rosa, if she does get paid at all, as I know that Caroline certainly works for Liz Earle as she did a Liz Earle Demonstration in a Boots store, near where I live, but Rosa, whilst she is again good at product knowledge and explaining the scents and evoking the memory, I just can't work out what her credentials are with regards to the company. I mean as far as I can tell she just comes on 'spouts' and goes again, though saying that she is a 100% than the new Yankee Candle guest presenter, who speaks in the 3 person about the product and even after this time is still 'finding her feet' with regards to the products and how to present them, I know Rosa has been there far longer, but still this presenter (sorry I can't think of her name), just seems to be rather 'wooden' and not 'connected' somehow with the products, she seems to let the presenter do the talking and she will just 'chip in' with some vaguely relevant information.

What about that woman, Nicola someone or other, who looked like a porn actress, she was on about some face cream or something and she kept giggling and talking in a strange voice about mobile 'phones all the time.?

:mysmilie_458::mysmilie_458:

Paul Lavers is to Robert Redford what Robert Palmer was to Bryan Ferry. He was still a fantastic presenter though. I really loved his offbeat, irreverent approach. I would tune in just to watch him, he always used to come out with some strange things. I remember once he said: "This ring is for a real lady, or possibly a homosexual man" (!) Can't imagine anyone getting away with that these days!

Guests!

Best voice! That's an equal tie for me between George Clowes the De Jager guest and Dominic the Aurora Swarowski guest.
I'd probably put them at the top for attractiveness generally.

Best personality of the current crop of guests is Marla Wynne. I also think Ouida Oliver is very good. After that the best of the British crop is the Hot Rocks guy and Jenny from Together.

Marie Françoise Wolff is very pretty and comes over as quite nice, but I can't imagine having an evening out with her.

All time biggest personalities would be Joan Rivers and Lenny Feinstein, both sadly no longer with us. Both were brilliant at selling and terrifying presenters with their unpredictability.

I'm sure to have forgotten others who are attractive due to their personalities.

Yes, Lenny was great! I liked Joan, too! Always had the presenters on the edge of their seat!

How about Dennis Basso? He could be seen as, well, I don't know if "charming" is quite the right word, but "distinctive," with that gravelly high-low growling voice. Or what about Julie from Peony Flaaaaahs with her Tipp-Ex-white gnashers?

I don't think Fiona would be a contender. Her face looks like an eccles cake that's been run over by a bus - and don't get me started on that fringe!

Dennis Basso has always creeper me out. Everything about him, but especially that voice. I don't mind Julie Bates, but it's been better on the rare occasion when her mum deputised for her. Fiona Brackenbury has lovely hair. The fringe may cover a multitude of sins, but the healthy gloss of it is something I envy.

I think Debbie Greenwood was one of the most attractive presenters and apparently she was a former beauty queen, she had a good personality too. Julian Ballantyne was quite easy on the eye. Actually it's made me think that QVC are not and never have been very ethnically diverse.

My vote goes to Alison (Diamonique) she is interesting & informative & her delivery is easy on the ears. Most I can just about endure but as I don't watch that often now, just a flick on & off, it matters little. One person (who was very popular) but I couldn't watch in my 'No1 fan of QVC' days was Julian Ballantyne. There was just something about his voice I couldn't stand.Sorry JB fans!

In my QVC days, I could watch and listen to JB all day, I didn't but if I could've, I would've. :mysmilie_17: He had an easy, fun, relaxed and dare I say it, honest delivery about him, so JB would most definitely look out of place on today's fast pace/hard sell QVC.

I liked JB too - but he would definitely not fit in anymore, far too honest I reckon.

I thought the guy who sold the Pompoos range was hilarious (cant remember his name sorry), he was soo unpredicatable and soo funny! Would have never have bought anything from his range but would tune in to watch him!

Wonder why he's not on anymore, probably no one had the guts to work with him....

Harald Gloekler.

Julian fans will soon be able to watch him again on a Shopping channel. He is starting up a channel called Shopping Nation TV. I believe Debbie Greenwood is also nvolved with it.

julian was not the best qvc presenter neither was john lavers but they had a good sense of humour and were funny to watch

I loved Harald - he spoke with a mouth full of gobstoppers dahhhhlink, wore fabulous makeup, and if the LGBT movement believe they have outrageous characters, then they clearly haven't come across Hawald ! I still have the faux Chanel suit he designed which always gets compliments.

I find Alison (Jewellery) Marie-Francoise and Sarah J possibly the most attractive but to be fair they have bit of youth on their side!

Anne Dawson, Dale, Charlie seem to have some personality!

I find the Skechers dark hair girl, cannot remember her name, very hard to watch and Tech Abbi is unbearable in every way!

Is this one new? I know Julian and Debbie started up a new Channel when they left QVC.

They started the Craft Channel after they left Q but that has since gone out of business. I don't think there is any craft on their new channel at the moment.

This thread received my first post & I should have added Joey Schooley to my list. I like her dry sense of humour, she know the brand she's promoting & she does smart casual really well. It was unfortunate that today she looked as though she was wearing a pale pink straitjacket.
